Derek Hopewell

It is with much sadness that we report that longstanding member Derek Hopewell passed away on Thursday, 21st March 2024.

Derek shared his language skills by leading a German, French and an Italian group. Many members have benefited from his time and generosity in teaching and sharing his knowledge. Derek also attended and participated in several different groups as well as contributing by joining the Committee and supporting publicity work. The photo shows him playing his keyboard with the Red Hats Band.

He will be sadly missed but always remembered by members of Nottingham u3a
