Wine Tasting

This group meets monthly at Anne's home at 2.00, usually on the third Thursday of the month. 

All Nottingham U3A members are welcome. 

The session fee varies according to the cost of the wines and the number attending but will usually be around £5. 

Please bring your own glass. 

We ask members not to bring food to share, but you can bring your own snacks if you wish. It is also suggested that you bring a small bottle of water to cleanse your palate between tastings.

15th January New Year, New World

Our wine group is very democratic and so we decide collectively on what our monthly themes should be. 

I am delighted to report that despite one member suggesting we should have another dry/low January theme as we did last year, others shared my pain and we declined to repeat this travesty!

And so this month we will be reflecting on the many wines now coming from the New World - the Americas, Australasia and South Africa etc. Such a wide variety of choice of these is available to purchase in all our supermarkets and wine dealers. It should an interesting tasting.  

We will again be following our usual tasting pattern of two whites and three reds.
