Shakespeare Group

We meet on Week Two Thursdays at 12.25

We have been concentrating on the history plays, and all members have had an opportunity to read some juicy parts. Discussion is an important part of the group - for example we have looked at character development, and attitudes to women. We encourage members to attend live cinema showings of Shakespeare plays, and we are also happy to share DVDs and discuss the different interpretations of plays we have seen. Texts are provided, but if new members could bring their own copy, that would be helpful.

In May we will finish reading ‘Twelfth Night’ and move on to ‘Julius Caesar’.
