The early Autumn programme 2026

The group has maintained a good level of activity over the summer and the programme for September continues to evolve from the previously defined themes:

1. The relationship between art and desire will be further scrutinised and illustrated.

2. It is hoped that there will be two field trips to sites of interest. The first will be to see the Murals at St Martin's Church in Bilborough. This will take place on 29th September at 11 am. We will catch the 35 bus from Mansfield Road, which goes close to the venue. Refreshments can be purchased at the Church at the end of the visit. 

In September there will also be a presentation on Cezanne by Eddy, which should be a controversial and dynamic session. Also a disturbing reflection on, or centring on, the artist Franz Marc in the context of Der Blaue Reiter and the concepts of Bildung and Erfahren/ Entdecke.
