History Group

We usually meet on Week 2 Tuesdays from 2.30 to 3.30 (No meeting on 22nd December)

We decide as a group what to explore and how, and anyone is welcome to contribute to any of the topics. But people are very welcome just to come along and take part by listening or asking questions.

In September we are looking at two very different topics - the Lady Docker scandal of the 1950s; and Mary Wollstonecraft's groundbreaking book, "A Vindication of the Rights of Women", a key book of the Enlightenment that was published in 1792.

In future meetings we shall continue to explore the Enlightenment, a crucial time in the history of the West.

New members are always welcome - just turn up and join in!
