Join or renew membership

Membership is open to those who are retired or semi-retired. There is no lower or upper age limit and you do not have to live within the Nottingham city boundary. Annual membership runs from April to March and the charge for 2024-2025 is £70. This can be paid in two equal instalments.

There is no additional charge to attend the majority of our meetings and activities and you can attend as many meetings as you like - there are no waiting lists. If you are a member of another u3a where you pay the full fee, our fee will be reduced by £4.00. New members joining after the start of the membership year may pay a reduced fee. 

To join or renew membership by post or in person

You also have the option to pay by Standing Order. If you would like a Standing Order form, or if you require further information, please contact the Membership Secretary

If you would like your membership card posted to you, please enclose a stamped addressed envelope with your membership form, otherwise it will be available for collection from a group leader or at the monthly Coffee Morning

To join or renew online

New members can join and pay via the secure Beacon portal, using a credit or debit card, or PayPal account. This will show the amount you are due to pay, based on the time of year you join. 

Existing members can renew via the Members Portal, paying by credit or debit card, or PayPal account.

If you join or renew your membership online, a membership card will be emailed to you.
