Bellwork 1

How do you feel about the outdoors? Do you enjoy camping or hiking? If you could camp or hike anywhere in the world, where would you go? What would you bring? What type of activities would you participate in? Explain.

Bellwork 2

Do you believe that it is important to know how to read? What types of things does knowing how to read allow people to do? What types of things would someone not be able to do if they could not read? How would this negatively affect their lives?

Homework

Imagine you are a fantastic artist and somebody has just asked you to create an original painting for them. You want to make a painting that is beautiful and exciting to look at? What would you paint? Why would you paint this? Explain.

Day 2

Bellwork 1

Imagine you had a giant yacht and you could sail it anywhere in the world. Where would you sail to? Who would you bring with you? What type of things would you do?

Bellwork 2

Do you think it is important to be good at math? How is math used in the "real world"? How well would you describe your math skills? What do you like about math? What do you dislike?

Homework

If you were being honored at an award ceremony, what award do you think you would be given? Why do you deserve this award? Who would you thank in your acceptance speech? Explain.

Day 3

Bellwork 1

Do you have many brothers and sisters? Do you think it is better to have alot of brothers and sisters or not alot of brothers and sisters? Why is one better than the other?

Bellwork 2

Many holidays are represented by a symbol. Think of four holidays. Provide a logo for each holiday and an explanation for why you chose that logo.

Do you consider yourself a messy person? Why or why not? Is it important to be clean and tidy? Explain your answer.

Day 4

Bellwork 1

Think of the two people who know you best as a person. Imagine they were each asked to provide to descriptive words about you. Which words would they use? Why would they use these words to describe you? Explain your answer.

Do you ever read or write poems? What is your opinion about poetry? Write a short ryhming poem. If you cant write a poem, write a rap.

Imagine you are creating your own holiday. What would be the name of the holiday? What would people do on this day? Explain.

Day 5

Bellwork 1

Imagine you had the opportunity to create your own pop. What would it be called? What color would it be? What would it taste like? How much would it sell for? Describe it.

Bellwork 2

How would you describe a typical day at school. Write five sentences about the school day that you had yesterday.

Homework

Pick a classroom in the building. Draw a detailed map of the classroom.
