Day 1
Bellwork 1: An "endeavor" is a serious attempt to do something. Name some of your own endeavors.
Bellwork 2: To "triumph" means to obtain a great success or victory. Give an example of one of your own personal triumphs.
Day 2
Bellwork 1: "Circumstances" refer to the time, place, and conditions of a particular event. Describe the circumstances of meeting someone you know for the first time.
Bellwork 2: A "juvenile" is a young person. When do you think children or teenagers begin to stop acting juvenile? Wny? Explain.
Day 3
Bellwork 1: Something that is "irresistable" is not capable of being resisted. What is something you find irresistable? Why? Explain.
Bellwork 2: To "compel" somebody is to forcefully drive or urge them to do something. Who compels you to do your best. How do they do it? Explain.
Day 4
Bellwork 1: Something that is "authentic" is the real thing. If you couldn't afford authentic jewels or leather, would you accept imitations? Why or why not? Explain.
Bellwork 2: To be "influential" means to have the power to get others to do something without commanding or using force. Who is the most influential person in your life? Why? Describe them.
Day 5
Bellwork 1: To "patronize" a business means to shop there or use them regularly. What businesses does your family patronize? Describe them.
Bellwork 2: "Intuition" refers to the ability to guess about something correctly. Has your intuition ever told you about something before it happened? Explain.

Day 1
Bellwork 1: Something that is "gorgeous" is very pleasing to look at. What is something in nature that you think is gorgeous?
Bellwork 2: To "integrate" something means to make it open t.o all kinds of people. Why is it important for schools to be integrated? Why? Is it important for communities to be integrated? Why?
Day 2
Bellwork 1: Something that is a "priority" is the most important thing at a certain time.
Bellwork 2: What is your highest priority in today's schedule? What about for this weekend?
Day 3
Bellwork 1: Something that is customary is commonly practiced. What is something that is customary in your house?
Bellwork 2: To "lobby" means to try to convince lawmakers to vote a certain way. What do you feel strongly enough about that you would lobby your government representatives? Why? Explain.
Day 4
Bellwork 1: To be "jovial" means to be full of fun. Who is the most jovial person you know? What makes them so jovial? Explain.
Bellwork 2: An "innovation" is something newly introduced. The first automobile was a major innovation in transportation. Give examples of other innovations and how they changed things?
Day 5
Bellwork 1: To be "confident" means to have trust or faith. What is something you feel confident about? Why?
Bellwork 2: "Literacy" is the ability to read and write. Give some reasons why literacy is important to you.
