Urban Setting Vocabulary
Urban: characteristics of or pertaining to cities.
Urbanization: taking on the characteristics of a city.
Suburban: pertaining to, inhabiting, or being in a suburb of a city or town
Rural: of, pertaining to, or characteristic of the country, country life, or country people.
City: an incorporated municipality, usually governed by a mayor and councilmen. A large town
Citify: to make into a city. To cause or conform to city habits.
Metropolitan: pertaining to a large city, its surrounding suburbs, and other neighboring communities.
Metropolis: a central or principle place, and sometimes capital of a city.
Prejudice: preconceived opinion that is not based on reason or actual experience.
Ethnicity: the fact or state of belonging to a social group that has a common national or cultural tradition.
Diversity: a range of different things.
