In this lesson students will conduct research on several different roles of medieval society. Students will choose one character from each of the sections of the feudal pyramid. Each story is derived from the "Good Masters! Sweet Ladies!" book. Students will create a foldable to demonstrate knowledge of each class in medieval society. Students will then decide which class is most important to medieval society and write an argumentative essay to persuade the class.
Lesson:
1. Copy the Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Feudal Pyramid into your notebook to use as a reference for this project.
2. Choose one character from each section of the feudal pyramid and read the short stories for each. For the king you will be given choices to research in the project description.
3. After reading, complete the Good Masters! Sweet Ladies! Foldable.
4. Once you have finished the foldable, you may begin with the Feudal Society Constructed Response of which you will defend what class is the most important to medieval society.
