The following people were encountered, or heard of, by the investigators while they were in Egypt.

Besart, Warren - Formerly Carlyle's purchasing agent in Cairo. Now a barely sane hashish addict.

Broadmoor, Agatha - Psychic and Member of the Clive Expedition. Raised Nitocris under duress, and was then sacrificed to complete the process.

Clive, Dr Henry - Archaeologist and member of the Cult Of The Black Pharaoh.

The Clive Expedition - Financed by the Penhew Foundation, Dr Henry Clive and his party were excavating at Memphis. Other principals were Martin Winfield, Agatha Broadmoor, Johannes Sprech and James Gardner.

Gardner, James - Archaeologist and member of the Clive Expedition, sacrificed by Shakti during the Nitocris ceremony.

Hetep - Omar Shakti's white Persian cat.

Kafour, Dr Ali - Curator of Occult Materials at the Cairo Museum. Assisted the investigators in Egypt and introduced them to Kurt.

Najir, Faraz - Cairo-based dealer in antiquities. Wrote to Roger Carlyle prior to the expedition. The party discovered his shop in Cairo's old quarter to be burned out, but traced him to his current establishment and persuaded him to talk to them.

Nitocris - Evil queen from Egyptian antiquity, whose resurrection by the Cult Of The Black Pharaoh was witnessed by the investigators. Her whereabouts is currently unknown. More here.

Nyiti of El Wasta - Mutilated by Mythos attacks, she and her son Unba kept the fragment of the symbol from the Red Pyramid, and passed it on to the investigators.

Shakti, Omar - Cairene Cotton Plantation Owner and High Priest of the cult of the Black Pharoah. Visited by members of the party, and later seen during the resurrection of Nitocris in the caverns below Giza. Owns a white Persian cat.

Vanheuvelin, Jan-Willem - Dutch archaeologist, who was stranded in Cairo. His theft of texts from the Bast Cult got him into all kinds of trouble, from which the investigators extricated him. Last seen running off into Egyptian Antiquity after the party's meeting with the Black Pharaoh.

Wassif, Nigel - Proprietor of The Cairo Bulletin. Assisted the investigators with information, and in copying the Bast texts.

Winfield, Martin - Sadistic member of the Clive Expedition and the Cult Of The Black Pharaoh and former acquaintance of Helena. Helena had to be rescued from his advances at the Shepheard's Hotel party by Chuck.
