Brunton, Sir William (1867-) - Lord Mayor of Melbourne since 1923.

"Butcher" - Victorian Aboriginal, associate of Johnny Jervis.

Calley, Detective Constable - Police Detective working for Inspector Robinson.

Clayton, Dr James - Director of the Kew Metropolitan Asylum.

Enderby, Mrs - Witness to a "Submarine" in the Yarra River, at least according to the press. Lives in the posh end of Kew, and was visited by Pen, Steel and Ewa. Her husband is a partner in the construction firm of Clyde and Enderby.

Evans, Constable - Acting Desk Sergeant at St Kilda Police Station.

Florrie - Cleaner at the Melbourne South Police Station, and informant of Steel.

Goodenough, Tommy - Victorian Aboriginal, associate of Johnny Jervis.

Graeme, Peter - Inmate missing from Yarra Bend Asylum following the river disturbances on 28 January. Believed drowned.

Hunter, Bill - Victorian Aboriginal, associate of Johnny Jervis.

Jervis, Johnny - Aboriginal South Australian, an Elder and "Clever Man". Bailed from St Kilda Police Station along with his 4 associates by the investigators.

Jim and Sandy - Patients at the Kew Asylum.

Jones, Simon - Inmate at the Yarra Bend asylum who saw "Lights" in the Yarra.

King, Pat - First victim of the River Ripper and reputedly an aboriginal shaman.

Leacroft Boat Hire - Owners of the "Bonnie", the rowboat used by the picnickers to get to the River Island.

McCall, WV - Melbourne Town Clerk

Moss, Eric - Reporter for the Melbourne Age, who has written some less than complimentary reports about the investigators.

Richards, Dr C P - Ewa's "Uncle Pete" is Director of Prehistory at the State Museum of Victoria, Melbourne. A scholarly man in his 60s, with a dry wit. Thin, 5' 6" tall and slightly stooped.

Robinson, Jack - Detective Inspector with the Victoria Constabulary, based at Melbourne South Police Station. In charge of the River Ripper case.

Sandys, Julian - Flying instructor based at Essendon Aerodrome, formerly of the Royal Flying Corps. Gave Bob flying lessons in his Airco DH6.

Seton, George - Attempted rescuer of River Ripper victim Nancy Hewe. 32 Years Old, lives in Kew.

Smith, Detective Sergeant - Police Detective working for Inspector Robinson.

Sullivan, Bill - Houseowner on the Yarra, whose boat Steel, Pen and Ewa "borrowed" to get to the River Island.

Two-Bob - Victorian Aboriginal, associate of Johnny Jervis.

Waterman, Jack - Nightwatchman at the State Museum.

Waverley, Trevor - Reporter with The Melbourne Argus (newspaper). Was sought out by Pen and Karen, to find George Seton's address. Then wrote a cheeky article about them and AAK Investigations.
