Loose Ends

Did Helena, recently returned from the past, find her brother? Will she be able to return him to the present? And, if so, what state will he be in?

On 23 May 1926, her Birthday, Karen Hayes gave birth to twins, Abigail and George. While they appear perfectly normal babies,  who, or what, their father is remains to be seen.

After returning from Gray Dragon Island, Karen adopted a man's hairstyle and wardrobe, and developed a fondness for cigars and malt whisky. While her style has reverted somewhat, the fondness for cigars and whisky remains. It's unclear at present what (if anything) the significance of this is. Surely there's nothing to Brady's idea that she has somehow been possessed by Penhew?

Bartholomew developed aquaphobia in Australia as a result of nearly drowning, and then encountering the bunyip. Currently this is in remission, but who knows what will happen in the future. More recently, while in Canada, he developed a strange obsession with orange hair and fur.

The investigators have collected some circumstantial evidence suggesting that Roger Carlyle's death at the Yeung Wo Nursing Home, before the arrival of Erica Carlyle, may not have been due to natural causes. There may be nothing more to do. Hopefully this won't prevent AAK being paid by Erica for finding Roger.

Brady  is now at large, having escaped from the Yeung Wo Nursing Home in Hong Kong. Present whereabouts unknown. What will he do now?

What are Omar Shakti and Shefira Roash, the resurrected Queen Nitocris, planning?

Sylvia's Ghost appeared in October 1925, visible only to Pen, and accompanied the party until late December, when it disappeared. The Ghost then re-appeared  while the investigaotor were trailing sasquatch in Canada.  Whether this spectre is indeed Sylvia's ghost, or merely a product of Pen's deranged mind is yet to be established.
