A medallion of unknown provenance, associated with the worship of Ithaqua the Wind Walker. This gold medallion is incised on one side with strange hieroglyphs in a language never spoken by human throats, and on the other side with a relief carving of some entity which, while parodying the human shape, seems to writhe and shift continually.
In 1768 it was in the posession of Johann Winckelmann. He intended to present it to the lloigor, mysterious beings who dwell in a lake within the Caverns of Postumia, but was murdered before he could do so.
HIs restless ghost led the investigators to the medallion's hiding place where it was retrieved by Jocelyn. Possession of the medallion seemed to give Jocelyn protection against the Bora, the cold North wind continually blowing in Trieste. But after she was found wind-bathing naked on the roof of the investigators' hotel, Bob took it into his possession.
The medallion was taken from Bob in the Caves of Postumia by the same beings that Winckelmann had intended it for, much to the chagrin of a group of Trieste based lloigor cultists who wanted to present it to the lloigor themselves.
