David Martlesham

David is a professional researcher and psychologist, with specialist interests in the paranormal and the occult. He is based at a Boston University when he isn't being sidetracked by something more interesting. He first joined the investigators when they travelled to Montreal in 1922, and has been involved ever since. Seems able to talk himself into all kinds of trouble.

Following his adventures at the Mountain Of The Black Wind, David became quite an advocate for the advantages of cult membership. The rest of the investigators hoped this was a temporary situation, but in the meantime kept a close eye on him and kept him away from firearms!

In time, David did recover and, back in New York, made a new friend, Sylvia, who he generously invited to accompany him and the investigators to Shanghai. After some further adventures both David and Sylvia disappeared from Shanghai on 12 August and haven't been seen since. Ho Fong has claimed responsibility..
