Fun Facts
The Brewers were 3 and 5 in regular season bobblehead giveaway games this season.
*Once again the Brewers offered a Season Seat Holder Exclusive Bobblehead; limit one per SSH account. This year was Trevor Hoffman. It honored his big Brewer moment when he reached 600 saves on Sept 7, 2010 with the Crew. This bobblehead looks very similar to the Hoffman bobblehead given away in 2009, except this version has a typical bobble sized head.
The six main SGA bobblehead giveaways this season were given to the first 35,000 fans, similar to the 2021 season.
Willy Adames did not play on his bobble day. He was on the IL with a high ankle sprain.
Besides the regular Adames bobblehead, 42 autographed versions of the were given away in the special Associated Bank Power Alley ticket package.
Brandon Woodruff did not play on his bobble day. He was on the IR for his bobble game with a high ankle sprain; just like Adames was on his bobble game earlier in the season. Also interesting to note, that the Woodruff bobble says 2021 Collectors Edition on the bottom. But the Adames bobble already handed out said 2022 Collectors Edition. And the sponsor plaques on the side of Woodruff are stickers, not painted on. This is the first time I recall sponsors put on as stickers.
The Brewers had originally planned to give out an Elmo Sesame Street theme night bobblehead during the 2020 season. However, the shortened season with no fans in attendance resulted in no bobblehead giveaway games that season. This was not an all fan giveaway, but available with a Theme Night package purchase.
Freddy Peralta did not play on his bobble day. This was the third player with a bobblehead during the 2022 season to be on the IR during his bobble giveaway game. Freddy was on the IR with a shoulder injury. Bobbleheads this season were given to the first 35,000 fans. However there were only 32,967 fans at this game, so in a way it was an all fans that showed up giveaway.
The Omar Narvaez bobblehead says 2021 Collectors Edition (like the Woodruff did) on the bottom and on the box. This bobble's catcher's mask is removable and looks very similar to the Damien Miller with detachable mask from 2006.
On July 18th the Brewers announced an additional Theme Night bobble giveaway that was not originally announced when the season began. This package included a Corbin Burns bobblehead that honored his 2021 National League Cy Young win. This was not an all fan giveaway but a Theme Night package, and based on number of cases and bobbles in a case it seems there were 1,008 of this bobblehead made, making it fairly rare. It is also rumored that this bobblehead was intended to be mixed in on the regular Burnes giveaway day, but production issues caused it to arrive to late. So the solution was to offer it as a special theme night package. This seems logical as the bobble box for each Burnes is the same style. However it should be noted that the regular bobble (and its box ) have 2021 as the year printed on them, and the Cy Young version says 2022 on the bobblehead and box. Also, the boxes differ in size ever so slightly, and the white color is also a different sheen on each box.
When the dates for the bobblehead giveaways were first announced in February of 2022 they were just listed as "Player Bobblehead" because of the lockout. On March 11th the bobblehead player names were revealed, however the September 11th bobble was still listed as TBD. On May 3rd the Brewers finally announced it would be Milwaukee Bucks star, and Brewer minority owner, Giannis Antetokounmpo.
*You could get your hands on Willy Claus bobblehead in 2022 but he was connected to 2023 tickets. 2023 season seat holders were mailed one bobblehead as a holiday thank you. SSHs started getting theirs in the mail on December 8th. Or any fans could get a bobblehead if they purchased the Holiday 4 pack promotion. For every two seats in a four pack, fans could get one bobblehead. (Limit of 2 bobbles max). Tickets and bobbles could be ordered starting on November 14th and began arriving in mailboxes on November 17th. The last day to order the 4 pack was Dec 21st 2022. This bobble was given away in 2022, so I count him as a 2022 bobble, but technically he is connected to 2023 games.
