Fun Facts

  • The Brewers were 8-0 in bobblehead giveaway games this season. Their first undefeated Bobble-giveaway season!

  • On John Axford bobblehead day, the Brewers beat the Astros 4 to 1. Axford earned the save allowing 1 hit, and striking out two batters, including striking out ex-Brewer Carlos Lee looking for the final out.

  • The first 1,000 fans to buy Stitch N' Pitch tickets got a Chorizo bobblehead.

  • The third ever Hot Dog bobblehead (1st was Mini, 2nd was with the flag) has a pink bat and is wearing a pink ribbon to support Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer organization.

  • The Miller Beer Vendor Can was given away to the first 15,000 fans 21 and older. Ushers at the gates were asking for either date of birth or an ID to prove age if the fan looked under 21.

  • There are many rumors about Kent "Ice Man" Meyer. The story I hear most is that Kent won Beer Vendor of the Year. Miller was going to run the bobble of him as the giveaway. The White Sox did their Beer Vendor of the year during this season. But for some reason, it was decided to go with the Miller Lite Can instead of Kent. Miller still honored Kent, a long time beer vendor at Miller Park, with a tailgate party before the game. It was the same game that the Vendor Can was given away. Kent was given the bobbleheads to give away at this party. I have heard 106 of this bobble, but I have also heard 250. 250 seems more legit as it comes from Ice Man and his wife. When I bought my Ice Man on eBay the return address on the package said "Meyer". The ebay handle that sold it to me had only a few other transactions on eBay and all were for this bobblehead. Below is an actual picture of the Ice Man. I took it in 2015 when he was vending in my section. I talked to him a short time and asked him about the bobble. He was very nice and super friendly. He verified that they gave him the bobbles to hand out at a party before the game. He said he also thought they handed a few bobbles out at the gates by Fridays. I met a person with 3 of this bobble, and he said he lives near Kent. He confirmed the story of the Beer Vendor of the Year and also said 250 of this bobble is what he has heard.

  • The Craig Counsell bobblehead is the second bobblehead of Craig given away, but the first full-sized bobble. His "Bierbrauer" jersey is in honor of the German Heritage game
