Fun Facts
The Brewers were 5-6 in regular season bobblehead giveaway games this season.
The Brewers were 1-0 in the Spring Training bobblehead giveaway game this season.
The mini Ryan Braun was given away at a March 24th spring training game in Arizona at Maryvale Baseball Park to the first 2,000 fans.
In previous years when the Brewers gave out a limited alternate version of a bobblehead it was usually randomly given to around 5,000 fans. The actual number was always known ahead of time because the marketing/promotional department would announce it. In 2013 the Brewers never made an official announcement on numbers. Here are the stories I know for a fact, combined with what I have heard from trusted sources:
Aoki Retro uniform was rare and came in separate cases.
Scott was 50% of each color.
Braun Retro uniform was rare.
Kuenn was supposed to be 50/50 but an error in ordering/production made the white pinstripe more rare. The pinstripes came in separate cases packaged together. As you can see in the photo below, the "Pinstripe Uniform" was stuck on the box after the box was printed so that evidence points to this story being accurate.
5. Ben Oglivie White pinstripes are rare, but were packaged in a mixed case of 24 total bobbleheads. I opened a number of sealed cases, and the number of whites in each case ranged from three to six white pinstripes in a case of 24.
Corey Hart was on IR all season and never played a game for the 2013 Brewers. His bobblehead is wearing a 1913 American Association Brewers uniform to honor the pennant winning team of 1913.
The Hot Dog Stitch N' Pitch was given to the first 1,000 fans to purchase seats in the needle artist section. Tickets in Field Outfield Box were $32 and Loge Outfield Box were $27.
This year's Polish bobblehead is wearing a Piwowarzy Jersey to celebrate Polish heritage.
Gorman Thomas never played a game for the Seattle Pilots, but was their first draft pick in June of 1969 and 21st overall pick in the first round. A Pilots historian told me that Gorman came to sign his contract without shoes on.
