2002

This is the second year the main bobbles were also given away in a Pepsi mail-in program. Sexson, Regular Sheets, and Aaron came in one box together, but the official SGA's came in separate boxes. The other way to tell if it is an official SGA is to look at the base of the bobbles. The mail-in bobbles have Pepsi logos on both sides, the SGAs have other sponsors with the Pepsi logo as well. See below for photos.

Fun Facts

  • The Brewers were 1-2 in bobblehead giveaway games this season.

  • Sexson and regular Sheets were given away to the first 10,000 fans ages 14 and under. The Hank Aaron was given away to the first 10,000 fans ages 16 and under.

  • Sexson went 2 for 4 with a HR and even drew a walk on his bobble giveaway. A rare nice performance on your own bobble giveaway day!

  • The Ben Sheets Olympic Uniform bobblehead was given away at the All Star Futures Game played at Miller Park on July 7th 2002. The bobble is to commemorate the 2000 Sydney Australia Olympic Summer Games gold medal won by Team USA. In that Olympic game Ben gave up only three hits, struck out five batters, allowed no walks, and pitched a complete game shutout. The bobble also has a MLB Hologram and that has a unique number or code on it. Typically you can look up MLB Holograms on https://www.mlb.com/authentication but for some reason these number/codes do not show up. I have looked at a number of this bobblehead and each number is different on the bottom of each one. Interesting fact, if nothing else. The infamous All Star Game, that ended in a tie, took place at Miller Park on July 9th, two days after the Futures game.

  • This is the first year the Brewers honored Hank Aaron with a bobble. This bobble has him posing with a bat that has the number 755 on it to honor the Home Run King's 755 career home runs.

  • This is also the second year the main bobbles were also given away in a Pepsi mail in program. When I bought my mail in set from a local cardshop it came with this case. I am not sure if the case came with the original set, or if someone had it custom made, and included it when they sold the set to the cardshop.
