Fun Facts

  • The Brewers were 9 and 3 in regular season bobblehead giveaway games this season.

  • *You could get your hands on the Mini Yeli Claus bobblehead in 2020 in two different ways. He was part of a 2021 Holiday ticket 4 pack promotion. For every two seats in a four pack, fans could get one bobblehead. (Limit of 2 bobbles max) . The last day to order the 4 pack was Dec 17th 2020. He started arriving in mailboxes on December 9th. So he was given away in 2020, and it is printed as "2020 Collectors Edition" underneath where BDA Sports marks bobbles, thus I count him as a 2020 bobble, but technically he was connected to 2021 games. The other way to get him was to be a 2021 Season Seat Holder. The Brewers sent the bobble as a gift to SSH as the thank you gift this year.

  • Once again the Brewers offered one Season Seat Holder Exclusive Bobble per account. This year's SSH bobble was in honor of Prince Fielder winning the 2009 Home Run Derby in St. Louis where he hit a total of 23 home runs. The first game Season Seat Holders were able to pick this up was Monday May 24th. This year there was not a nice printed paper voucher sent to SSHs like in years past. It was simply a digital voucher sent in the MLB Ballpark app.

  • This year most of the bobbles handed out were ones that had been planned to be given away during the 2020 season. The main (non-theme night) bobbles were not going to be All Fan Giveaways, but limited to the first 35,000 fans. However the 2021 giveaway games for Hank Aaron and 40 HR Yelich at American Family Field were limited to 50% fan capacity due to Covid restrictions. Therefore, for those two games the bobbles technically were all fan giveaways because maximum allowed attendance was right around 20,000.

  • The Peanuts Woodstock was originally planned to be handed out on 4/11/20 but was not due to Covid-19. Because he was made the year before he even has 2020 on the back of the bobble base. (see photo)

  • The Hank Aaron bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 4/12/20 but was not due to Covid-19. This bobble was part of the 50 year Golden Anniversary of the Brewers in 2020. This decade idea was a similar to the 2010 40th anniversary bobbles that celebrated one big moment from each decade. This bobble was in honor of Hank's return to Milwaukee on April 11th 1975. He had played for the Milwaukee Braves before the Braves moved to Atlanta. He was traded to the Brewers before the start of the 1975 season so he could end his career in Milwaukee. This bobble is the pose of him walking in for the pregame ceremony and waving to the crowd.

  • The Yelich 40 HR bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 5/10/20 but was not due to Covid-19. Yelich did not start the game on the day his 40 HR bobble was given away. However he did pinch hit in the 7th inning and hit a sacrifice fly. This bobblehead is one half of a set. The base of this bobble fits into his 30 stolen base bobblehead also given away this season. The two bobbles together honor the fact that he was the 10th player in MLB history to be part of the 40/30 club. He joined the exclusive club in the 2019 season. At the time he reached this milestone it had only happened 12 times by 10 different players in MLB history. The box for this bobblehead says "Bobble 1 of a 2 - bobble set." It fits together nicely with the 30 Stolen Bases bobble given away later this year.

  • The Molitor hit streak given away this year was originally planned to be handed out on 5/3/20 but was not due to Covid-19. This is not the first time Molitor's streak was honored as a bobblehead. In 2017 there was a Season Seat Holder Exclusive bobble in honor of the streak. This year's bobble is marked that the 39th game streak hit came on 8/25/87. I personally try to have a ticket stub from each bobblehead game. For this game Brewer great Jim Gantner was in the ticket booth selling Uecker Seat tickets before the game. If fans bought a ticket from Jim he even signed the ticket stub. So I was sure to add that special stub to my bobblehead game ticket collection. I have also included this unique stub to the special autographed version list.

  • The 50th Anniversary Season decade Yount bobble was in honor of his 3,000th hit which he achieved on September 9th 1992. This bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 7/12/20 but was not due to Covid-19. The boxes for the other bobbles given away up to this point had incorrect dates for 2021 bobble giveaways, and instead had the originally planned 2020 dates printed on them, however the box for this Yount has no future giveaway dates printed on it. This is the second time the Brewers gave out a bobble to honor this 3,00th hit feat. The first time being in 2010 for the 40th anniversary decade set. And Yount made his 6th full sized bobble appearance to date. (Although some years there were multiple variations.)

  • The Brewers did not announce there would be any special versions of the Cain until July 20th, just 5 days before the giveaway on social media. They said there would be only 700 of this version given away, only 2% of the lot, which makes it one of the rarest giveaways to date. Because this was an interleague game vs the Chicago White Sox (a team geographically close to Milwaukee) there were many White Sox fans in attendance. So some fans may have left with a gold bobblehead not even realizing what a rare find they had, increasing the rarity of getting your hands on one. The game time was moved because the Brewers vs White Sox was ESPN's Sunday Night Baseball game. Cain was still on an injury rehab assignment during his giveaway so he was not even with the team. He was reinstated for their next scheduled game though. The Cain bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 6/20/20 but was not due to Covid-19. This bobble was made to honor his 2019 Gold Glove Award as the National League Center Fielder. Cain had always been thought of as one of the top centerfielders but had never won the award until 2019. Many people felt he had deserved it many other seasons but he finally broke through as the top vote getter. He really set up the season to win this award on the 2019 opening day game, making a game saving home run robbery to end the game. The pose of this bobble he is also waving his finger in his "Not Today" motion that he made famous in 2019.

To spot an authentic Cain Gold Dipped version you can flip it over and look at the bottom base to find the BDA Sports logo and lot number printed on the bottom on top of gold paint. Someone spray painting regular versions gold to make a fake could not replicate that because the base of the regular is blue with BDA printing. Also harder to fake would be that the sponsor logos on the sides are still in color and the 50th Anniversary patch and ball with wheat logos on his shoulders are darker blue.

  • The 30 Stolen Base Yelich is NEARLY identical to the 2020 Associated Bank Giveaway from 2020 when you opened an account with them. However there are two slight differences. This 2021 version has a box that says Bobble 2 of a 2-Bobble Set. The Bank giveaway from 2020 does not say that on the box. Also, on the bottom of the bobblehead the 2020 version says BDA/MLB 2020 under it but the 2021 version says BDA/MLBP 2020 on it. (See photos). This bobblehead was originally planned to be given away on 7/26/2020 but was not due to Covid-19. It fits together nicely with the 40 HR bobble given away earlier this year. The two bobbles together honor the fact that he was the 10th player in MLB history to be part of the 40/30 club. He joined the exclusive club in the 2019 season. At the time he reached this milestone it had only happened 12 times by 10 different players in MLB history. This game was Yelich's first start (he appeared only to pitch hit the game before) since coming off the Covid Inactive list. He went 0-3 with a BB and run scored.

  • The Ben Sheets bobblehead was part of the 50th Anniversary Season decade set in honor of his 18 Strikeout Game from the 2000's. He achieved this feat on May 16th 2004. This bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 8/23/20 but was not due to Covid-19. It was then planned to be given out on 8/22/21. However a shipping delay was announced on 8/19/21 by the Brewers. At the planned giveaway game the Brewers offered a voucher for the Sheets bobble, and also gave fans a random bobblehead that was previously given away during the season as consolation. It was a long wait, but fans could FINALLY get their hands on this bobble starting on 11/4/21 at noon.

  • Besides the regular Star Wars Theme Night package bobblehead, 42 autographed versions of the Jedi Cain bobble were given away in the special Associated Bank Check Deck ticket package. Cain had a lukewarm (yes that was a Star Wars pun..LUKE Skywalker) game on his Jedi Giveaway, going 0-2 with a walk and run scored.

  • The 50th Anniversary Season decade Braun bobble was chosen to honor the biggest Brewer moment from the 2010's. In the game the Brewers were tied 1-1 in the 8th inning when Braun blasted a 3 run home run to take a 4-1 lead. Axford closed out the game and the fans, and Brew Crew, had to wait to see if the Cardinals lost. The Cardinals did lose, and a division crown was clinched for the first time since 1982. (and their first ever National League Central division crown.) This bobble was originally planned to be handed out on 9/6/20 but was not due to Covid-19. This completed the 5 decade bobble set for the 50th anniversary; similar to the 4 bobblehead 2010 40th anniversary decade set. Interestingly there is a misprint on this box. It says, "...giving the Crew a 3-1 lead in the eight inning..." But the game was tied 1-1 and he hit a 3 run home run giving them a 4-1 lead. On September 26th 2021 (last game of the regular season and Talking Uecker giveaway) the Brewers had a retirement ceremony for Braun.

  • The WWE Uecker is the 5th time the Brewers honored Bob with a bobblehead. (if you count Harry Doyle as a Uecker bobble). This bobble is in honor of his legacy with the WWE. He appeared in Wrestle Mania III and Wrestle Mania IV. He was also inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2010. The bobble box mentions that there is a famous photo from the 1980's of the Eighth Wonder of the World wringing Ueck's neck.

  • The talking Uecker is the 6th time the Brewers honored Bob with a bobblehead. (if you count Harry Doyle as a Uecker bobble). Click here to hear all the sound clips you hear when you press a button on the base. This bobble recites 5 famous calls by Uecker from over the years including: Easter Sunday Team Streak 12th win in a row, Yount's 300th Hit, Brewers Clinching the Wild Card in 2008, the walk off NLDS clinching win, and game 163 to win the division in 2018 vs the Cubs. This is not the first time a bobblehead has the audio of Uecker's call of Ryan Brauns 2008 homerun. That particular clip was also found in the talking version of the 2009 Braun bobble. This bobble giveaway day was a busy one for the Brewers. In a pregame ceremony the Brewers celebrated Ryan Braun's career and retirement which he had announced a few weeks earlier. And the Brewers won the game officially clinching the Central Division title. So there was quite a celebration during this last home game of the regular season.

  • This year's bobbles have a unique twist to them. Some of them have 2020 Collectors Edition printed underneath them because they were produced (but not handed out) before the delayed 2020 season, but a few of them do have 2021 Collector's Edition printed on the bottom. Below is the list of BDA Sports 2020 and 2021 printed bobbleheads:

  • Yeli Claus

  • Woodstock

  • Aaron

  • HR Yelich

  • Molitor
