Daniel Sermons
Daniel is a fascinating Prophet. The great stories of faith in chapters 1-6 lend themselves to preaching and Sunday School curriculum, but I notice that there is a dearth of Sunday School material and Youth Bible Studies on Daniel 7-12, which is disappointing. These are great sections for the Christian to contemplate, dealing with the prophecy of 'one like a Son of Man' (Ch 7), so important for Jesus' self-identity, the prayer and prophetic vision of 'Messiah' (Ch 9), and the promise of resurrection (Ch 12). I was able to prepare two of these talks as a student minister at Beverly Hills Anglican between 2001 and 2003. Preaching Daniel in Term 3 2011 allows me to write a further 8 sermons and review the earlier 2. Prior to College I wrote the following set of Daniel Bible Studies.
