Since 2004:
Project Shiksha initiative is implemented in 18 states, 4 Union Territories,4 educational organisations (NVS, KVS, APSWREIS, DGET) and 2 Universities
Hasempowered approx. 7,44,000 educators in these states and organisations
Innovative Teachers Leadership Awards (ITLA)
To help innovative teachers Microsoft launched a contest named‘Innovative Teachers Leadership Awards’(ITLA):
A national contest to honor and recognize teachers from Pan India
Opportunity for teachers to interact with their peers worldwide.
Since the launch of ITLA contest in 2004, the participation numbers have increased significantly with LLF’s innovative approach and reach. Starting with only 1400 registrations in 2004, the registrations reached 131000 last year.
Educator who are awarded as ‘National winners’ of this contest represent India at Microsoft Worldwide Global Forums across countries like US, South Africa, Brazil, Prague, HongKong and many others.

Microsoft Saksham
Advanced IT and 21st Century skills for Higher Education Teachers
Saksham is based along the lines of MHRD’s National Mission of Education through ICT
For the first time in Microsoft’s history, a training program was designed which offers a balanced mix of basic IT, advanced IT and soft skills.
LLF has helped Microsoft Sakshambeing conducted in 31universities and765trained educators. 147Saksham champions launched their mentoring program and further trained 1078people.
Project Kshamta with Indian Army
Microsoft launched a program in partnership with LLF for the Indian Army, to equip jawans with skills that give them a chance for a second career post retirement under SSC (Short Service Commission). 'Kshamta', which means 'capability', trained soldiers in IT skills, spoken English and soft skills.The training was conducted in selected 48 Regiments pan India
Realising the impact of the program; this was implemented by Indian Army as a cascading model and as a result today more than 32000 Jawansare trained and the journey continues as an internal army programme using www.dsaksharta.in
Program with IGNOU – reaching out to North-East rural
Microsoft and LLF had partnered with IGNOU for the much neglected community of north-east teachers who wanted help in digitizing their lesson plans – a workshop of 15 days was conducted for them to be able to convert their subject matter and ideas into animated digital presentations.
The objective was to give every student of north-east as much exposure to the way urban students were learning today, thus making the learning experience richer for them.
TatkalKaksha
LLF helped Microsoft and HP in implementing TatkalKaksha
A shipping container with 15 HP PCs, a printer and furniture, TatkalKaksha is a fully equipped, self-powered, mobile educationcenter that can be transport and deployed to any location
Programs for Community
Entrepreneurship Skills
Microsoft and LLF have helped Common Service Centre Operators from the villages of Haryana and Uttar Pradesh by providing them with Digital Tools and training to increase their livelihoods.

Microsoft Digital Literacy curriculum
Marketing and Communication Skills
Content for this training was specially developed in consultation with LLF to inculcate business expertise in these CSC operators.
Program with ITC in their rural chaupals – towards employability skill building in the rural belts of India
The objective was to provide employability skills to rural youth
We conceptualized the program to be implemented in e-chaupals and chaupalsagars of ITC across the country
The courseware was designed by us as partners
