Learning Links Foundation handles strategic relationships with key stakeholders of government, universities, apex bodies and NGOs for Intel® Education Initiatives in South India. The main role of Strategic Relationship Officer (SRO) is to –
Development of strategies in the education sector and other related social sectors in consultation with relevant government agencies and development partners
Participation in dialogue with government officials and stakeholders on ICT education policies, vocational skills approaches and entrepreneurship support systems
Conceptualization of projects in the development sector and identification of appropriate alliance partners and/or stakeholders to carry out implementation of projects
Build Intel’s reputation in the education sector, including vocational education and other related social sectors
Liaison with government agencies, Non Government Organizations (NGOs), and multilateral and bilateral organizations to review and exchange information on education sector policies and issues
Develop and manage education, IT and social sector strategies and programs that promote a positive business environment, upholding/enhancing the Intel’s reputation
Engaging with key stakeholders to comprehensively understand, prioritize and address needs and issues, and developing a long term vision for state governments in India
Till date, SROs in South India are responsible for building strong relationship with government stakeholders in Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Andhra Pradesh. Strong relationships maintained with ministers, principal secretaries, directors and other officials of department of education and other social sector departments have resulted in building strong foothold for Intel Education initiatives in the state and also build strong reputation for Learning Links Foundation.
SROs have been catalyst in driving policy recommendations in these states. They primarily act as consultants to government and are members of various state level committees and drive policy initiatives related to ICT, curriculum and education in the states.
These strong relationships have resulted in conceptualizing new initiatives like STEM promotional activity called Vigyana Yathre in Karnataka, develop model Community Service Center in Tamil Nadu, volunteering program for Intel and other corporates and various other innovative programs.
SROs have been instrumental in promoting digital inclusion in departments other than education like Department of Women and Child Development, Directorate of Employment & Training, IT, e-Governance, Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms and Department of Panchayat Raj.
