Camogie:

Congratulations to our VICTORIOUS U12 Camogie Panel who won the Shield Co. Final last Saturday afternoon in the Camogie pitch at the Ragg,

against Boherlahan 2-04 to 2-03 in a hard fought game. Well Done to the girls, mentors and all of you who came to support them.

Senior Hurling,

Hard luck to our senior hurlers who put up a great display against favourites Eire óg Annacarty in a closely fought West semi final on Saturday evening last in Cappawhite. From the throw in our lads took the game to the opposition and were deserving leaders at the break on the score 0-6 to 0-5 and were unlucky not to be further ahead. The second half began with Eire óg roaring out of the blocks and they were in the lead within a few minutes, our lads did not lie down and gave as good as they got in the following minutes. Then a moment of controversy saw one of our players red carded, but it was then our team spirit came to the fore as faced with nearly 20 minutes left in the half, down a man and 2 points, our lads did themselves and the parish proud as they matched their opponents and even came back level and indeed took the lead briefly before the efforts took their toll and the lads from Eire óg won 0-18 to 0-13 , a final score that most would agree did not do justice to the closeness of the exchanges.

We now play Roscrea in Templemore on Sunday evening next @ 7.30pm and we wish the lads the very best. Though beaten in the Semi-final they showed great team spirit and no little skill and with a little bit more luck they could have been looking forward to a west final, so please come out and shout your team on it is much appreciated by the team and management
