DEFIBRILLATOR COLLECTION

The Community Council are continuing their campaign to collect all used mobile phones to help us to get a defibrillator

put in place in Knockavilla village. There are collection boxes in all the local shops in Knockavilla and Dundrum, and

also in Knockavilla church to facilitate the collections. Remember, if any one received a new phone over the Christmas

maybe the old phone could be donated to this cause.

COMMUNITY ALERT

Also, a reminder to everyone about the importance of community alert in the parish especially at this time of the year.

Keeping a watchful eye on the elderly living in the area is of vital importance. Also, please take notice of any suspicious

activity in the area, and record all details and forward to the community alert phone. Our text alert system is now also

hooked up with the recently launched scheme in Golden, so we can now trade information between both parishes.

HALL AVAILABLE

The community hall in Knockavilla is now available for hire for any activity either for parish groups or to families for

various occasions. The committee can also facilitate the use of an indoor bouncy castle for children’s birthday parties.
