RPS - Redundant power system.

Supports EX 2200, EX3300

As you noticed the EX2200 has one power supply.

The Same with the EX3300

To avoid it stopping to work with power loss etc.

The Juniper team offer you the option of sourcing an external RPS.

The setup will look like the image above with the RPS being backup power supply.

One RPS can power up to 6 switches : ex3300 and ex2200 switches.

The RPS can have up to three EX-PWR3-930-AC

The RPS port on the EX 2200 is covered with a metal cover, simply remove the screws.

The RPS ports on the RPS are also covered so simply remove the one you need.

Then connect an RPS cable.

For each power supply you must order a power cord. Pay attention.

A RPS doesn't need a JCARE contract.
