The curriculum is the intended learning out comes. This is set at the National Level, outlined in the ACARA Framework; the State Level, in Victoria this is outlined in AusVELS; individual schools can then refine to their stated values. This allows both a broad National Standard of Education along with the ability for parents to select a more specific refinement of their children's education, for example religious beliefs or other values.
