Plague Full Of Roses

Plagued ambition, stifling muck

To run and run while fastly stuck

Excited drones of laughter cry

It hurts to want yet more to try

Unwarranted to see no hope

While past presents a stronger yoke

Foundations lie yet build thereon

And lay out paths for every pawn

Words alone do much incite

The goblins gasp and reach for blight

Be forewarned yet ever still

Pick among arrays of quill

Stories fold and unfold harsh

The lines they draw can leave one parched

Hope is found just out of reach

Where it belongs to better preach

It burns to see but freezes fast

I hope to hope as if a mast

Rejected cruelly like a curse

Though someone else may make it worse

As grains do sit among a pile

One passes by without a smile

No need to please or make amends

They all will blow with stronger winds

The rose will grow and sweetly smell

It matters not by whom did tell

The mass decision is profound

But one among should sleep more sound
