Have you ever wondered how a certain place can "feel" evil or "feel" safe? Perhaps you've sensed something upon a person where you just get an overwhelming feeling that they are safe, kind, friendly--or perhaps ill-intentioned. Have you ever wondered how a crowd of people at a soccer game can suddenly turn into a mob filled with murderous intent despite being comprised of mostly mild-mannered individuals?
Consider for a moment that people are like rechargeable batteries--they can take on a charge that is presented to them and they are then capable of outputting that charge later. These human "batteries" are placed into many devices in life but always with the same orientation and will therefore only output either a positive charge on a device as intended or a negative charge which is damaging to both the device and the other batteries that are also connected to it. Equate this charge to a mental state of being where a positive charge is a positive (or optimistic) disposition and a negative charge is a negative (or pessimistic) disposition.
When people come together for any purpose or simply within a certain proximity, their charges begin to affect one another as a device. The devices can be as small as a family or a fast-food restaurant or as large as a city, state, or country. The multitude of smaller devices such as families, businesses, and other groups will end up making a larger device such as a city. The city devices will make up a state device and so on.
If you were to make a "family" device where one battery outputs a positive two volts and another battery outputs a negative two volts, then it should be fairly easy to see that the combined voltage for the device would simply be zero volts. The two batteries would drain each other to be useless and the device would be ineffective and non-functioning. If, instead, the two batteries were a positive 5 volts and a negative 2 volts, the resulting voltage for the device would become a positive 3 volts but the batteries would, over time, affect each other such that one would charge up from -2v to 1.5v and the other would deplete from 5v to 1.5 volts.
Removing the electrical speech, a negative person will drain a positive person and a positive person will uplift a negative person. A person could be so overpoweringly negative, however, that a positive person's positivity could seemingly do nothing and vice versa. There is also another component to this since we are not simply sponges of voltage, but rather we can choose in which way to grab the voltage presented to us. A negative person can fuel their negativity even when presented with something positive through manipulation. Or, in an electrical sense, by grabbing the wires opposite to what was presented them. When presented with something positive such as a beautiful flower, a negative person can instead focus on how such a flower attracts bees which might inflict pain. Such negative thoughts would then actively fuel negativity and the positive artifact was effectively manipulated and did more damage than good. Similarly, a positive person can take a negative artifact such as wrongful imprisonment and turn it into something positive by focusing on his or her opportunity to uplift the others in the prison cells.
Of course, it's not always easy to find something positive to hold on to and its often difficult to avoid negativity that is thrust upon you. For this reason, it becomes imperative that we purposefully seek out and grab hold of positive things so as to counteract the negative charges that we endure throughout our day. That is, of course, if we even wish to be positively charged. Many people today will actually boast about their negative charge as if it were something powerful and respectable. Certainly it is powerful, certainly it might influence and affect the world in many ways, but there's a grave danger in such negative power.
The fact is, our charge of positivity or negativity has a direct correlation to our health and our relationships, and, more broadly, our entire life. This is not difficult to believe as there is quite a variety of evidence to support this. The number 1 killer of people in the world today is stress. Stress is the equivalent to a negative charge on a person. We also know that the converse is true as we have even made a proverb out of it: laughter is the best medicine. People can literally worry themselves sick into all kinds of various diseases and many people have also spontaneously been healed of diseases with a positive outlook. Such things are baffling to science. I propose it has everything to do with a person's "charge." Many books have been written including "How to Stop Worrying and Start Living" by Dale Carnegie in regards to the danger of negativity. Even Plato offered the words, "The greatest mistake physicians make is that they attempt to cure the body without attempting to cure the mind." Many people have worked themselves up to their grave and many others have uplifted themselves to their miraculous healings.
If we take this concept of being charged to a physical reality in our world with real implications, we would expect external influences to our charge as well. It has actually been shown that negativity and positivity have influence on the life of plants. In a negative or harsh environment, plants have a much harder time surviving than in a soothing and calm atmosphere. People will actually play classical music, sing, and speak comforting words to their plants as a means to help them grow. And it truly works! Similarly, tests have even shown that emotional conversations, whether positive or negative, have an effect on the cultures within yogurt while sitting in an enclosed box in the same room. Our charge is a very real thing and as we charge ourselves up with positivity or negativity, we have a huge influence on the people around us. Metaphorically, a person who has charged himself with 50v of positivity could easily change a crowd of 10 people with -2v charge. Or perhaps a person of 50v could cure a -20v disease and remain charged with 30v afterward.
In such terms, we might consider one of the greatest healers of all time: Jesus. He seemed to heal people with words alone. Let us consider that this real and physical property of emotions and charge is exactly what Jesus was doing. If this were true, you might expect Jesus to recharge himself on occassion by removing himself from negativity and focusing on what is good. You might expect him to teach ways of righteousness and positivity while not allowing negativity a foothold to harm or deplete your charge. You might even expect him to warn you that you should not bring your positivity toward people who will naturally convert it to negativity and effectively lower your positive charge while increasing their negative charge. Every one of these things are quite readily found within the Bible; Jesus did these exact things!
Taking it a step further, if we look at what the apostles taught, they were constantly focused on uplifting positivity. Paul gave the exhortation, "Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and if anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things." It's easy for us to hear this as a command, but just perhaps he was speaking it as encouragement to fullfill their goal: increasing their positive charge to be effective witnesses of a God of positivity.
It is important, however, that we understand that positivity is not merely saying something good or "looking on the bright side" of all situations. We need to remain honest in all things while also being positive. Being optimistic is not the same as blindly expecting something good. We can't be optimistic that our business endeavor is going to make us rich if it's no better an idea that selling sticks to trees. That's merely foolish. There is no cut and dry formula that I could express as to what proper positivity is, but if indeed you seek the power of positivity, then merely fill yourself up with whatever is morally uplifting in your eyes.
It was never simply a command or a rule that we must remove all impurities from among us, but indeed if we wish to be filled with power and might we will do so in order not to affect ourselves adversely toward our goal. If, together, we focus on these things and learn to become a device of positivity, then we can grow and expand with such power of immaculate health and well-being that we ultimately create a heaven on Earth. I propose that the laws of positivity and negativity were instantiated by God as a cause and effect training mechanism to teach us, his children, how to live and obey. It is up to us to follow these ways of God unto our own healing and to drop the self-righteous acts of religiousity and beliefs of historical facts as opposed to beliefs in morals and character. We are the only things holding ourselves back. Jesus taught us the way and we have ultimately rejected it. It is time to embrace it once again as this will truly shape our world for the better.
Speak only what is good, watch only what is uplifting, hear only what is righteous, and you will soon find your charge gaining positivity and power. Your health will improve, your mental state of being will become a solid rock of stability, and people will flock to know you and be friends with you. In so doing, and being such a light, you will begin to influence the charge on others and create a device of positivity. This device will then be capable of reaching other devices and create larger devices. Your simply family can change your apartment building, your apartment complex, your city, your state, your country. Give it enough time and it will even change the world! Let us charge our batteries with positivity and regain what we have lost and stop the slow corrosion of our world.
