Programming theory begins with defining objects and explaining processes and steps in a clear and explicit language.

A great way to have experience explaining processes and steps is by the creation of an original board game.

Guiding Questions

What makes for a fun game?

What makes you want to keep playing a game or to play it again?

What do your favourite games have in common?

When do you most want to play games?

Tasks

Take 10 minute turns playing each of our board game stations.

Throughout the game, discuss with your groups the merits of each game.

Which ones capture your interest more than others?

Be prepared to share and discuss your findings at the end of class.
