Calls to Action: HTML Project

Call-to-action (CTA) buttons are the buttons you use in your website to guide users towards your goal. It's the part of the landing page that the user needs to click in order to take the action you want them to take. CTA buttons can vary in style and size depending on your goal conversion and website style. Some common examples of call-to-action buttons are:

    • Donate Now

    • Free trial sign-up buttons

    • Download buttons

CTA buttons have a very specific goal: to get your web visitor clicking and completing a conversion.

PROJECT

For this HTML project - you will be making a small 3-5 page website with a social benefit in mind.

Perhaps you have a friend or family member in need of a website to promote their business or service?

Perhaps there is a local charity you would like to help support by creating a donation website?

You will create a website with a prominent call to action - this means if you have a company, your goal is to get people to contact this company about it's services. If you are supporting a charity, you want to get people to donate to this charity. You website needs to have a prominent goal that is clear to the viewer.

In addition to the main "index.html" page, please include the following:

  • an "About" page that describes the business, charity, etc.

  • a "Contact" page with the information necessary (social media links, phone, e-mail, etc)

  • a media gallery of work or projects related to the business or charity (photos and/or videos)

Note: your subpages should all match the style, colour, and layout of the main page.
