Gradual release of responsibility model (GRR) is a teaching methodology created to help students transition from a teacher-directed classroom to an independent style of learning.
Developed by Fisher and Frey, this teaching methodology contains four stages of learning which are conducted through simultaneous top-down and bottom-up learning approaches.
Top-down is directed for teacher involvement
Bottom-up is for student interaction
