Shift in Classroom Autonomy and Learning Source

Indirect instruction moves towards autonomy as students are forced to think for themselves rather than being provided with answers. Although the teacher gives the students questions to answer and has structure, students are able to respond and think freely. The learning source moves from teacher to student, as students take more charge of their learning. Teachers may also choose to have students formulate questions and build upon each others' answers.
