The village Church of Scotland is centrally located in LOCHEND ROAD in the village.
It was dedicated in 1929. The building is Norman in character -white freestone from Earnock Quarry was used in its construction.
Originally, a hall and Norman Tower were to be included. The drawings of Gardner & Gardner McLean, architects, were exhibited around the country and depicted on the front cover of 'Life & Work' magazine in 1944.
The original church was extended through the addition of a hall.

The stained glass windows were presented by members of the Hurll family in memory of John and Isabella Hurll of
Woodneuk House. John Hurll came from humble beginnings to establish the Fireclay business of Hurll, Young & Co., in partnership with John Young, in the 1850's.
John Hurll (grandson) and his wife, Matilda (Maud) presented the windows. Maud was one of the first female graduates of St. Andrew's University.
The windows depicting the Tree of Life and the Tree of Knowledge were designed by Gordon Webster, son of Alf Webster, who designed those in Glasgow Cathedral and St. Andrew's University.
