This section is wholly dedicated to Gartcosh's past industries.
The Iron and Steel Making Industry, which finally ended with the devastating closure of Gartcosh Steel Works in 1986 and the Brickworks, which closed some years earlier, but nonetheless ensured our wee village produced quality products, which were sought after around the globe.
