Mt Tantangara

Proposed Route:

Park car at the Alpine Ck FT off the Snowy mountains Hwy. Walk up a convenient ridge to Tantangara Mt and other nearby viewing points. If time and energy permit, continue on to Tantangara Hut. Return possibly more direct to Alpine Ck FT and return to cars. All exploratory for me – generally bush, some fire affected, plus open grassland possible. We will climb to about 1745 m. About 16 km and 700 m climb overall.

Forecast Weather for region- Partly cloudy. Isolated showers and the chance of thunderstorms from midday. Winds north to northwesterly averaging 15 to 25 km/h. 11-19 deg C
