Logs of the the trips to gather the photos/coordinates are under the "Classic Bushwalks in Australia" page.

Notes:

It was proposed that 56 structures on the Black Allan Line be listed: 9 arris or pyramid cairns, 46 smaller stone cairns and 1 blazed tree, in essence the remnants of the original Black Allan Line border cairns. (The modern concrete survey structures and 2 memorial cairns subsequently erected on the line have been excluded from the nomination.) A full listing of all the cairns and modern survey marks encountered on the line is provided in Att D, however it is only the structures listed in Att D Collumn C that are proposed for listing.

Att D is being updated as additional structures are located. The list was most recently updated to include the location of the pipe placed at the Head of the Murray River by an RMIT team.

The National Heritage List is a record of places in the Australian jurisdiction that have outstanding natural, Indigenous or historic heritage values for the nation. These places are protected by federal law under the Environment Protection and Biodiversity Conservation Act 1999. Nominating a place for the National Heritage List means identifying its national heritage values and providing supporting evidence.
