Every year the Canberra Cross Country Ski Club runs a K-K Tour (Kosciuszko to Kiandra). In 2011 the lack of snow along Happy Jacks Plain thwarted our plans and instead we took the opportunity to tour the Main Range, Grey Mare Range, Jagungal, and the Kerries, descending Disappointment Spur to Guthega Power Station. You'll see from the photos there was loads of snow on the Main Range, but just enough in the low country to get from Jagungal to Mawsons Hut. From there we climbed onto the Kerries, eventually descending via Disappointment Spur to avoid the slog along the firetrail to GPS.
