2018 06/30 - 07/21 Pyrenees Haute Route (France, Spain)

Post date: May 24, 2018 2:6:50 AM

The Haute Route Pyrénéenne" (HRP) follows the highest and most inaccessible trails, criss-crossing the mountainous border between France and Spain. The HRP is one of the most challenging long-distance walking routes in Europe. At times the trail is rough, steep, exposed and covered with snow / ice. The trail at times can be difficult to follow and requires careful navigation. We will do the central section of the walk (Lescun to Bagneres-de-Luchon) over 19 days, mostly travelling from refuge to refuge. Occasionally we will be camping, and will carry 1-2 days of food and light weight camping gear. Maximum altitude 2983m, with frequent ascents of 1500m. A map of the walk is available at: HRP Haute Route Pyreneenne
