11-11-09 Random thoughts on mindfulness
E=MC2- Infinite knowing, total involvement, and unconditional giving to counteract ignorance, avoidance, and wanting.
E represents the feeling or emotions, m the body-senses, and c the thinking.
Center on the present moment, balance on experience, and stabilize the energy with equanimity, which is e=mc2 or knowing, caring and sharing, as above, awareness, acceptance and allowing.
Become aware of breathing in the present moment and then moment by moment, feel-sense it, and as you stay aware, accept it as it is, and allow it to run its wave like course, this is mindfulness of breathing, doing it over and over is mindfulness meditation. Apply mindfulness, concentration at each step leading to calmness, equanimity, wisdom and compassion, over and over, again and again.
This represents a switch from automatic to autonomic mode of mental function, using the breathing as natural rhythm to cause a harmony a concordance between doing the breathing, thinking about it, feeling-sensing it, to becoming one with it. This resulting in the universal power of the body mind that knows, cares, connects and interacts to naturally soothe and heal, relieving pain and suffering and helping any impairment.
Trust the autonomic ultimate mind, representing the laws of nature. Get into its flow by using mindfulness based breathing in and out of meditation, whenever you can and in formal practice and meditation.
Both releasing therapy and heart math use the experiencing of positive emotion and the experiencing of all emotion or feelings to help anything, similar to the applied clinical mindfulness approach.
Sleep needs to be experience not thought about .
The problem with not falling asleep is the thoughts associated with wanting to fall asleep. Get off the thinking track, on to the experiencing one, and burn away the feelings that are putting up road blocks to the experience of sleep, thoughts, sensations and feelings.
Mindfulness breaks down and or burns away the perceptual permanence and separateness of resistances and distractions, interfering with sleep or anything else.
Mindfulness applies a gently, almost effortless, relaxed touch, of knowing, caring, and a generous connectedness, open to first giving, and the receiving, infinitely, totally, and unconditionally.
The something is just not right sensation-feeling is the most legitimate and reliable, its vagueness making it useful.
Just enough concept applies to everything, just enough effort, relaxation, concentration, applied at the right time.
Dealing with distractions, problems, resistances, good, bad or neutral things requires a mindful negotiation of sorts, using courage, to show, weaknesses and strengths, a cooperativeness, based on the needs of the other, compassion for the pain of others and self, and a reasonable compliance.
The mature self can and will and chooses to exist and survive and get pleasure alone, by one self, or in intimate union with another, or the world, regardless of feeling tone or motivation or outcome good, bad or neutral, and can move freely between these relative poles, after developing and evolving from the self, becoming the original self, to develop a functional self, only to end up where it began in its original selfless state.
