On 3rd May 2014, Georgia Bateson was crowned the 91st Chislehurst May Queen, accompanied by her Prince, Miranda Mole.

We were lucky enough to enjoy a bright sunny day, which helped to generate one of our biggest crowds in recent years.

Our President, Vera Quinn, and Roy Hopper presented this year's medals and the Funky Chicks performed a dramatic contemporary dance which reflected this year's woodland theme.  The band of the TS Defiance and Chislehurst Invicta Cub Scouts accompanied the procession of the Retinue from Red Hill School to the Common.

Also present were our Patron, Sir Roger Sims, and Mr Bob Neill, our local MP.

Following the Crowning Ceremony the Retinue enjoyed a traditional tea party in the Chislehurst Methodist Church Hall, where the May Queen and Prince made a delightful thank you speech and, most importantly, cut the celebration cake!

Thanks to everyone who attended the Crowning Ceremony and supported, whether financially or by volunteering their help, and making this such a memorable day!
