Valentina Sora

I am a Master student at the University of Bologna (Italy) and visiting Researcher at CBL. I have been granted two Erasmus Traneeship fellowship in 2016 and 2017 at CBL. Here, I am developing a huge variety of diverse bioinformatics skills, including different methods for analyses of multiple sequence alignments, comparative modelling, molecular simulations, analyses of cancer databases and NGS data and Python programming.

In particular, I am focusing on four main projects at the CBL: i) the study of structure-function relationship of BH3 motifs and their binding to Bcl-2 proteins ii) the development of a pipeline based on atomistic simulations and contact inferred by coevolution analyses to refine low-identity protein models iii) the analyses of RNASEQ data set from The Cancer Genome Atlas Database, iv) the development of algorithms for protein structure network analyses of protein structural ensembles
