Rodriguez

José Rodríguez and María de Samano Conejo (ONMF, 268-269; and SRNM, 43) were among the families recruited in Mexico City in 1693 as settlers of New Mexico. They arrived in Santa Fe in late June 1694 where they established their family. This couple received the sacrament of Marriage on April 30, 1690, at the Church of San Miguel Arcángel in Mexico City. Unfortunately, the names of their parents were not recorded in their marriage record. The official witnesses to the union were Pedro Ruiz and Manuel Ortiz and the officiating priest was Bachiller Sebastián García de Quesada.
