Winter is about to begin

Yes, according to the latest weather reports, we are actually going to get rain in California next week...and that means snow in the mountains.
It is long overdue. Frankly, this winter has gone from being wonderful and charmingly warm to disturbingly dry and barren...and we need the water. The photo above was taken at about 8,000 near Sonora Pass aon December 27th, and that area should normally have had about ten feet of snow by now.
Snow that would then melt and give us water to drink, and hydroelectric power...
