More road closures

The recent storm here closed both Sonora Pass and Tioga Pass, although both are expected to re-opened.
Just a reminder that if you have plans to go backpacking this time of year, you should be prepared for much colder weather, snow, and the possibility of roads being closed. Short days make it harder to cover the same distances you might tackle if it were mid-summer.
Plan accordingly.
On the other hand, the scenery is wonderful this time of year...quiet, subdued, peaceful...as you can see below. And there are far fewer people out and about. Makes for some really great hiking.
