Offline mode

A>V>C> Programs are designed to work in the mode of constant access to the A>V>C> server via the Internet, that is, in "online mode". However, you can put the program into isolated mode without network access. This mode is called "offline". Do this only as a last resort. Without access to the network, the procedure for activating applications will be much more complicated and longer. Many functions of A>V>C> programs will be unavailable.

To switch to offline mode, run the AvcOptions command and go to the Account tab. Uncheck the "Online Mode" checkbox.

The program will periodically check for a network connection and can turn on the online mode itself again.

Offline activation

Without access to the A>V>C> server, you can only activate paid programs and cannot use the trial period.

Offline activation is performed in 2 stages. First you need to send the request code and then enter the activation key.

The request code is a long encrypted message of English letters and numbers. It contains information about your request: your email, the program you want to activate, information about the motherboard of your computer, Windows ID, computer name and Windows user account name. No other data is transferred. This data will only be used to create an activation key and will not be passed on to third parties.

You can get the request code in the offline activation window.

To see the window with the request code, you must first turn offline mode and, after that, start activating the A>V>C> program. After selecting the license type, you will see the offline activation window. It will contain the request code.

You can save it to a text file on a USB flash drive and thus transfer it to another computer connected to the network and then send the code to avc.programming@gmail.com.

You will also see a QR code in the activation window. This code will help you send a request from your smartphone if it is connected to the network. The QR contains the same request code. You can run any barcode scanning program on your smartphone, for example, Google Lens. Scan the code directly from your computer screen. The scanner application will immediately give you a link to send email. Clicking on the link will open the mail application on your smartphone, and you can send an email with the request code. You don't even have to enter the recipient's address.

Important points

Send the request code from the same email address that you used to register an A>V>C> account or specified when paying for plugins. Or write in the letter who donated and when.

Don't try to rewrite the request code by hand - you will definitely be wrong. Do not try to print the code - you will have to enter it from paper later, and you will definitely be mistaken.

Do not send photos of the request window, screenshots or an unrecognized QR code. It is the text that is required to be sent. In all other cases, you will not receive an activation key.

After sending the request code, close the activation window. You will have to wait an hour or two for an answer to your mail. In severe cases, the response can be delayed up to three days. If the request code is correct and your A>V>C> account has enough funds to obtain a license, then you will receive an activation key in an email. The answer will come to the mail that you specified when registering your A>V>C account. The key is an 8-digit code. Remember or write down the key - you will need it on a computer that is not connected to the network.

Now you need to open the activation window again and start activating the program again. Or, on the Licenses tab, click on an unactivated license and click on the Activate button.

You will see the same window with the same request code. Enter the key into last field. As soon as you dial the eighth digit, the Ok button will appear. Click it and the program will start checking the key.

The key will be accepted by the program only if it matches the request code. The key is useless on other computers and under other accounts.

Limitations

A one-year offline license starts from the day the request code is generated, and not from the moment the key is entered. Thus, you will lose at least 1 day. This is one of the reasons why I highly recommend using online activation.

An offline license cannot be canceled or transferred to another computer. The license will be irretrievably lost in the following cases:

    • When you change a computer

    • After reinstalling Windows

    • When replacing the computer motherboard

    • When renaming a computer

    • When renaming a Windows user account

However, you can still try to save your license. To do this, you need to find a way to connect your old computer to the Internet. For at least 5 minutes. And bring the program online and restart CAD. And after that, delete the activation of this workplace in the list on the Licenses tab. Now you will have an unactivated license that you can continue to use on another computer.

Offline activation works only on one computer. You will not be able to activate the second (home) computer also offline.
