The A>V>C> Options Palette is designed to configure most A>V>C> programs, to manage the A>V>C> account, purchase new licenses and activate them. Some A>V>C> programs still have their own separate configuration dialogs.
The palette, in contrast to the dialog box, can remain on the screen while working with a drawing. It does not have to be closed all the time. This can be useful if you have free space on the second / third monitor. It can be docked to the edges of the CAD window, can be combined with other AutoCAD | BricsCAD palettes.
The palette can be opened and closed with the same AvcOptions command.
The palette automatically opens when loading CAD (if it was opened in the last session).
The palette will block any changes while a command is being executed.
You can run a custom command directly from the palette - the command icon in the header of each tab is clickable.
You can find all the same settings in the standard AutoCAD settings dialog (_Options command) on the A>V>C> tab.
The palette displays the settings tabs for all installed and activated A>V>C> plugins. As soon as you activate a new plugin, the palette adds new tab by itself. However, changing the user account may require a restart of CAD for the settings of the activated commands to appear.
The most important settings are collected on the first tab of the Palette - Common Options.
The Options Palette is available in all A>V>C> plugins for free and without activation.
In the header of each palette tab, you will see the same components:
A button to call a command (or several commands)
A command name
The number of the current command settings style with a drop-down list for switching styles (the style name is edited below in a separate field).
Buttons for adding and deleting a style.
A button to roll back to factory settings.
Here, only the settings of this command are reset. A complete reset of all settings is on the Export Settings tab. Please note that many factory settings depend on the units of the current drawing. The program adjusts to millimeters or inches. It is recommended to press the reset button when changing the units of the drawing. Or configure separate program styles for different units.
A button to save settings.
It is not necessary to press it, the program saves everything each time you move through the settings fields and when you run any command.
A button to open the program's Internet page.
