Preliminary System Overview
This document is an initial assessment and may contain errors or omissions.
Quantity: 16 fixtures Location: House bar Numbering: 1–16 DMX Footprint: 4 addresses per fixture DMX Range: 1–64
Notes: Fixtures should be aimed to provide uniform stage coverage and allow grouping into Left, Center, and Right stage areas.
Fixture Type: ETC ColorSource Fresnel V RGB
Quantity: 7 fixtures Location: Rear of stage Numbering: Within range 1–24 DMX Footprint: 3 addresses per fixture DMX Range: 101–121
Notes: Fixtures should be aimed evenly across the stage apron to avoid shining directly into the audience while remaining visible for effect lighting.
Fixture Type: ETC ColorSource PAR RGB
Model: ETC ColorSource 20 Manual: A copy is in the folder below.
The console powers on and appears to operate normally, but it does not control the lighting fixtures during testing. A configuration backup was created and stored internally as “Oly.” A copy is in the folder below.
A system‑level routing, wiring, switch, or DMX enable setting may be preventing operation.
Location: Wall‑mounted above DMX receptacle, stage left. Manual: A copy is in the folder below.
Description: The EchoTouch panel provides a touchscreen control interface with an icon layout similar to the ColorSource console. It includes groupings for Left House, Right House, and Stage, as well as icons 30, 31, and 32, which appear to function as macros for the three primary fixture groups.
DMX Connectivity:
The panel should be wired to receive DMX input from the lighting console and pass DMX output downstream to the next control device.
Note: Programming presets on the EchoTouch does not program presets on the Echo Inspire Station.
Note: This unit has a battery that needs to be replaced from time to time.
Note: This unit is powered by 24 VDC from an ETC EchoConnect, a 2-unit set that is powered by 120 VAC
Basic operation appears functional, but full testing has not been completed.
Model: 6‑button Echo Inspire Station Location: Mounted to the left of the EchoTouch panel Manual: A copy is in the folder below.
Current Programming: The station is configured to control brightness levels (full to off) for the 16 house‑bar fixtures.
Preset Recording Capability: According to the manual, each button can store a lighting scene. The procedure involves:
Enter program mode
Creating a lighting look using the console or EchoTouch
Recording the look to a preset button
Returning the station to normal operation
This functionality has not been tested and should not be attempted without a full understanding of the programming process.
This is NOT a standalone device; it connects to a power supply unit and a unit to interface to the DMX network.
It appears that an ETC Echo DMX Scene Controller does the DMX functions.
It is likely located in the same room as the ETC EchoConnect on a DIN rail,
The Scene Controller should be wired to receive DMX from the EchoTouch panel and pass DMX output to the lighting fixtures.
