How to Programming a Multi-Color Scene with the Smart Fade ML Light Board

This example uses the Light Board for La Hacienda Rec Center

At other locations the device numbers may be different.

Very important, when using a slider for the first time after a device select, always move it all the way to the top first, then bring it to the level you want. Do this even if the slider is already at the level you want.

Press Clear Select

Press Device Select

Press the devices you wish to program a particular color, in this case stage right (1,2,3,4 and 13) from the 24 device buttons on the upper left side of the board.

Press PARMeter 1 (green)

Bring up your intensity (Slider #1). (Remember to move it to 100% before lowering it.)

Adjust motor height (Slider #12) – This will move the motorized LEDs (devices 13,14,15,16 only).

Slider #8 controls the additional white LEDs in the lamps. Adjust to zero except when you want bright white. It will wash out colors if not at zero.

Press Color

From the 24 colors now displayed on the upper left buttons, press the one that matches the color you want to set your selected devices to.

To add additional devices or colors to the scene, repeat all the steps above starting at the 'Press Clear Select'. You may repeat these steps as many times as you want, each time adding in different devices with different colors. If you select a device that has already been programmed, it will simply change to the new color. At La Hacienda, the stage left devices are 9,10,11,12 and 16. The center stage devices are 5,6,7,8, 14 and 15.

Press Clear Select

Once you have programmed all of the devices you want to include in this scene, press RECord All.

Press the bump button of a slider to record this scene into.

Press MEMory (red)

Set all Sliders to zero.

Press Clear 4 times.

Test that the scene was correctly recorded by moving the scene's slider up and down.

You need to know how the devices are numbered for the particular location you are using. The A/V Website has this information for each of the recreation centers in the documentation section of the site. Be aware that some devices are not aimed directly forward so you may need to check where the light from each device hits the stage.
