Lettering for the labels on the equipment at the right was simply printed on paper using my color ink-jet printer. Several sizes and colors of lettering were tried until I found what looked best on that dark Gray panel.

Then the labels were cut slightly over-sized and stuck to one side of double-sided tape. Once stuck to the tape, the label and tape were cut to exact size and stuck to the panel.

By experimenting with various combinations of text color and background color you can make the labels match almost any color panel.

Coating the panel and labels with clear spray-on acrylic varnish will protect the panel and labels from dirt and scratches.
